In Memoriam: Four valued members of the Hot 8 Brass Band have been lost, three of them to the violence of the New Orleans streets. The band continues to honor them with their music: Dinerral "Dick" Shavers (snare), Demond "Bart" Dorsey (trombone), Jacob Johnson (trumpet), Joseph "Shotgun Joe" Williams (trombone).
